Adjust the size of the Tonkin fencing roll

• A major advantage of bamboo is that it is easy to work with. You can easily adjust the width of the Tonkin fencing roll by cutting the galvanised steel wires to the desired width.
• To adjust the height of the fence, you can cut the bamboo caneswith a fine hacksaw blade .

Installing the Tonkin fencing roll

Try to leave at least a 2 cm gap between the bamboo fence and the ground to avoid direct contact with wet soil, as this can cause black spots over time. You can rest the fencing roll on a wooden board during installation.

1. Attach the galvanised wires with nails to install the Tonkin fencing roll against an existing wall or wooden fence. Do not nail directly through the bamboo canes, as this will cause them to split.

General properties of bamboo and maintenance tips

• Every Tonkin cane is unique, so colour variations in the fencing roll are possible.
• The diameter of each cane in the Tonkin fencing roll may vary slightly.
• Vertical cracks may occur in the Tonkin canes. Like wood, bamboo also expands or shrinks as temperature or humidity conditions change. However, these cracks have no effect on the structural integrity of the bamboo fence.
