Instructions for use
- Base: Make sure the bamboo boards have a solid base. Build a slight slope into the frame so water can drain away from the boards; we often use 1 cm per meter. The joists are best made of Azobé hardwood.
- Distance between joists:Make sure the joists are at least 40 cm and at most 50 cm apart.
- Fastening: Place a clip against the decking board on each joist, starting with the start and end clips. Fasten them to the substructure with a screw. Then place the intermediate clips on each joist, but do not screw them all the way in! You can then slide the next row of decking boards into place. Once both boards are in the clip, tighten the screw. Fasten the last boards with the end clip.
- Finishing: Make sure all screws are properly tightened so you can enjoy your deck for a long time.
- Tip: Use one decking clip per joist for each board. That means at least 4-5 clips per bamboo board.
