Black Bamboo Blind 150 x 200 cm

This black bamboo blind is 150 cm wide and 200 cm high, and is made from round bamboo stems that are split and flattened. This technique gives our bamboo blinds a unique exotic look with a natural outer layer, and the nodes of the bamboo stem remain clearly visible.

Bamboo blinds create a natural, tropical atmosphere in the garden, on the terrace, in a garden shelter or by the hot tub, and provide excellent protection against sun, heat, noise and wind. Our blinds are designed to create privacy and intimacy while still letting light in. So you can still see in and out, but hardly be seen yourself.

The bamboo slats of these blinds are on average 15 mm wide and 4 mm thick (the top and bottom strips are 40 mm wide) and are woven together with strong black nylon thread, creating a sturdy unit suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The cord also ensures that the bamboo blind rolls up very evenly, so you can decide how much light you want to let in.

Black bamboo blinds are handmade in Indonesia and are supplied untreated, without springs or pulleys. This product can also be used as a mat, wall or ceiling covering, as a roof, etc.

With thiswith a roller blind systemyou can install bamboo blinds quickly and easily. The set includes 2 galvanised pulleys with screw, 12 metres of cotton fabric with a thickness of 3 mm, and 1 plastic rope clip for securing the rope.

SIZE ADJUSTMENT

Bamboo blinds can easily be shortened with a Japanese saw. By cutting through the bamboo slats, you can always adjust the blind to any size.

The height usually doesn’t need to be shortened, as it looks attractive when part of the blind is left rolled up. However, if you use the product as a decorative wall covering, you may need to adjust the height. In this case, you can cut the cords with scissors. Once you’ve reached the desired length, simply tie off the cords.

MAINTENANCE

• Bamboo used outdoors weathers over time. That’s why we recommend hanging the bamboo blind under a steep overhang, or treating it with Bamboo Booster, a specially developed natural oil that slows the ageing process and thereby extends the life of the bamboo. Bamboo Booster is easy to apply with oil-absorbing maintenance cloths.
• Always roll the bamboo blind up once it is completely dry; otherwise moisture in the roll can lead to mould and mildew.
• Cleaning and dusting is easy with a feather duster.
