Guadua angustifolia, also known as Guadua Bamboo, is a large-diameter tropical bamboo species native to South America. Properties
- In Guadua Bamboo’s ways, there is minimal taper. The diameter decreases by only 2,5 cm over a 6 m pole.
- Guadua angustifolia columns are generally very straight and easy to paint after sanding.
- All bamboo species tend to crack along the length of the pole. This is caused by variations in atmospheric humidity and temperature during use and cannot be fully prevented. However, these cracks do not affect the mechanical properties of the bamboo.
