Adjusting the size of the bamboo fence panel

• A great advantage of bamboo is that it is easy to work with. You can simply adjust the width of the black bamboo fence panel by cutting the horizontal bamboo dowels. The last bamboo cane at the edge of the panel must be fixed to the inner bamboo dowels with a small screw.
• You can adjust the height of the fence by cutting the bottom of the black bamboo canes with a fine saw blade. Be sure to trim the bottom and not the naturally closed top of the fence. For a perfect result, it may also help to wrap strong tape around the bamboo canes before cutting them to size, to prevent frayed cuts.

Installing bamboo fence elements

There are two general rules to keep in mind before installing the bamboo fence panels. First, remember that one side of the black bamboo fence panel has all the naturally uncapped bamboo canes; this is the top of the fence and it should face upwards.

Second, always try to leave a gap of at least 2 cm between the bamboo fence and the ground to avoid direct contact with wet soil, as this can cause black spots over time. You can rest the fence panel on a wooden board while installing the fence.

   2. If you need to install a Trendline bamboo fence panel against an existing wall or wooden fence, drill 4 mm holes through the bamboo canes using a specialwith a 4 mm bamboo drill bit .
   3. Do this every 20 cm horizontally and fasten the bamboo fencewith 4 x 60 mm screws. Repeat this at the top, middle and bottom of the fence to achieve maximum stability. Do not use excessive force when tightening the screws, to avoid damaging the bamboo canes.

General bamboo properties and maintenance tips

• Every black bamboo cane is unique, which is why color variations in the fence panel are possible.
• The diameter of each cane in the bamboo fence panel may vary slightly.
• Vertical cracks may occur in the bamboo canes. Like wood, bamboo expands or contracts as temperature or humidity changes. However, cracks have no effect on the structural integrity of the bamboo fence.
