When designing a roof structure, we recommend overlapping the palm panels at a distance of 30-40 cm for indoor use. For good weather and rain-resistant outdoor use, we recommend a distance of 20-30 cm. As a simple rule of thumb, you need 3 palm panels with a length/width of 145 per square metre of roof area.

Easy and affordable installation with nails, staples or cable ties, etc. As a simple rule of thumb, you need 3 palm panels with a width of 145 per 1 square metre of roof area.

Installation
Attach the bamboo slats woven into the thatched palm panels to flat surfaces or supports using roofing screws, tie wraps or wire ties.
Place the thatch-covered palm panels 10–20 cm apart. The closer they overlap, the better they protect against outdoor weather effects (sun, rain, wind).
Adjust the width of the thatched roof by cutting the bamboo slats. The palm leaves can also be trimmed with scissors if desired.
When using the panel indoors, we recommend treating it with a fire retardant.
Properties
The length of each thatched roof panel is approx. 60/80 cm, and the second layer is approx. 40/50 cm.
No chemicals are used in the production process of our palm panels.
The palm leaves are simply boiled in water and dried in the sun, after which they are cut into strips and woven between two bamboo slats.
The natural lifespan of palm-leaf thatch is about 5 years depending on the climate, but in a dry climate it can last up to 7-8 years or more.
