Description

Add tropical charm to your garden with easy-to-install 80/100 x 150 cm thatched roof panels. The thatched roof is made from palm leaves, a highly renewable natural resource with excellent natural insulating properties.

Palm thatch is often used as a roofing solution for bamboo tiki bars, pergolas, outdoor umbrellas, garden structures, gazebos or tropical cabins. The panels are easily attached to surfaces or supports by stapling and overlapping the panels.

Installation

Attach the bamboo slats woven into the palm roofing to the roof panels withscrews,zip tiesorcable ties against flat surfaces or supports.
Space the palm panels 10–20 cm apart. The closer they overlap, the better they protect against outdoor elements (sun, rain, wind).
Adjust the width of the thatched roof panels by trimming the bamboo slats. Palm leaves can also be split with scissors.
When using palm thatch indoors, we recommend treating it with a fire retardant.

Properties

In each layer of thatched roofing, the palm leaves are approximately 70 cm long.
No chemicals are used in the production process of our palm thatch. The palm leaves are simply boiled in water and dried in the sun, after which they are cut into strips and woven onto two bamboo slats.
The natural durability of palm thatch is around 3–5 years depending on climate, but it can last up to 7 years or more in a dry climate.
