Bamboo Banner Natural Plain pressed 2500 x 1250 x 0.6 mm

This natural colored bamboo banner measuring 2500 x 1250 x 0.6 mm is made of commonly pressed bamboo strips. With commonly pressed bamboo tabs, the visible “strips” are wider with visible nodes. This gives the veneer a unique look.

Our thickness is usually 0.6 mm, of which 0.5 mm bamboo and 0.1 mm “substrate”. At the factory, a thin layer of veneer is cut from a solid bamboo block and then applied to a cellulose membrane with a D3 water-resistant PVAC glue. The strong cellulose membrane on the back of veneers helps prevent tearing and makes it easy to press on any surface.

The big advantage of bamboo veneers is that it is very common in color and that there are no pattern differences like with wood veneers. Bamboo is a type of grass and has no growth rings or dark core wood. These features ensure that you can easily cover large areas or complete rooms in the same uniform style.

USE

Bamboo tabs are mainly used for interior decoration and can be applied to almost any surface, even on metal or plastic pipes (with contact adhesive).

In the furniture sector, veneers are often used on a cheaper surface (so-called wood), so that the furniture gets an expensive / luxurious appearance. A finely veneered furniture can hardly be separated from a furniture made entirely of solid wood.

Bamboo tabs are also very suitable for covering walls, interior doors and large surfaces. Veneers have no disadvantages that work like solid wood and are also cheaper.

By combining different bamboo fines in geometric or figurative patterns, you can also create unique effects.

TREATMENT

  • Make sure the surface is always flat, clean, dry and free of grease.
  • Veneers are usually glued on both sides of the sheet material to prevent warping of chipboard, plywood or MDF. It is recommended to use the same veneer on both sides, as it provides an optimal “balance” (stability) of the panel.
  • The amount of adhesive and printing method depends on the absorption of the carrier. Tabs are usually pressed with UF or PVAC glue.
  • For gluing veneers, we recommend that you first perform a test bond to determine the exact adjustment of press time, temperature and pressure.
  • At high pressure and high temperature pressure, a large cooling period must be observed before the cooled (max. 60 ° C) panels can be stacked.
  • If veneer is ground, the thickness of the bamboo layer must remain at least 0.2 mm.

DRAG

  • The hardness of bamboo stoves depends on the substrate used.
  • Our bamboo veneer is unfinished but is easy to paint with oil or varnish for the desired look and finish.
  • The color of the bamboo changes under the influence of UV radiation. The natural color becomes a little darker and the caramel color a little lighter. We recommend using Bamboo Topcoat, a specially developed bamboo lacquer that provides optimal protection against wear, stains and discoloration.
  • If you want to use oil, apply it thinly. Bamboo has a dense surface and absorbs the oil less quickly. Overuse of oil can cause differences in gloss and long drying times.
